Another Woman's Son By: Anna Adams March 31, 2012

Part 1:

1. Reflect - I really can't believe how Isabel accept Tony as the son of her husband to another woman which is her sister. I didn't think it was right that Isabel is still accepting her husband, Ben Jordan. I guess she might let them go for her own's sake. But what had happen to their lives is nothing to her. She might just ignoring the burdens that her husband and her sister brings to her.

2. Connect - When I was in third year high school, my cousin discovered that her father has another family. She thought it was their last day as having a one big happy family. It wasn't her intention to let that another woman of her father ruin their lives. She always thought that they have a perfect family as what she have expected but she was wrong.

3. Question - I wonder how strong Isabel Barker is because of accepting her husband's son to another woman? I also couldn't figure out how Isabel's sister use to ruin her sister's happy family? Unless, Isabel's sister is also in love to Isabel's husband. But I guess, her sister is also in love to Isabel's husband because she will not make mistakes if she don't. Did her husband, Ben, realize how big his mistakes are?

4. Predict - I think Isabel will become a good and loving mother if ever she got a child to Ben Jordan. I guess her sister will soon accept her wrong deeds for becoming Ben's another woman. Then they will soon realize that they are having a wrong relationship.

Part 2:

18. Write a pom about one of the ideas or characters in the novel.

What a beautiful young lady
And a mother could that be,
She's great and not lazy
That was Isabel could be.

But a very bad thing happen to her
She thought she can't make it will,
Though she lost her hopes inside her
But she still survive it will.

She have the courage to believe
And still thankful of what she achieve,
Yes she know it was given
By our Almighty Father in the heaven!

Home court Advantage by: Rita Ewing February 29, 2012

Part 1:

1. Reflect- I felt it was brave of Casey to know and accept on what had happen to her husband. She still accept Brent despite of his wrong deeds in life. However, Casey know that it was just a big mistake of her husband. I guess Brent did not have the intention to have a child with another woman. But, I didn't think it is good if the mother of the child and Brent is seeing each other. It is enough that Brent is giving his financial support to the child.

2. Connect- When my friend know that their father has an illegitimate family, they were shock and don't know what to do. they think whether they forgive and accept the mistake of their father or they will just forget that they have a father. But, they choose to leave their father alone without giving their forgiveness to him. Now, their father is gone, they can no longer say the things which they wanted to say to their father.

3. Question- I wonder why the owner of their team always insist that the team should be handled by another sponsors? Do the owner really meant to give a better life to the players or he just wanted to gain a lot of money? Why does the players have different secrets in their real life? I also couldn't figure out how Casey accept the mistake of her husband?

4. Predict- I think that the whole team will have a better future if they stay on the same owner. I think after the game, the sponsor realizes that he would not sell the team. Maybe, Brent and Casey Rogers will have a child after the game of their team.

Part 2:

8. Ask questions about things that confuse you or that you wonder about. Describe your feelings about the events in one chapter.

Why does their are so many persons who have so much secrets in their life? Do they need to hide the reality of what is really happening to their real life? What does the consequences if they choose to reveal their secrets behind their sad life? Is there a reason that made man or woman lie to their love one? If there is a chance that they would change their lifestyle, would they change it or just stick to the old one and just remove the bad memories? I wonder how the women faced the reality that their husband has another family?
I am really happy that their is still lovers who still love each other even though they have faced so much trials. Just like how Brent and Casey Rogers showed in the story. Despite of everything that Brent did to his wife, Casey still accept him and forget about what had happen to his past. Casey even accept the illegitimate child of Brent. She welcome the child even if the the child his not from her flesh. The couples are very happy of their being committed, they really don't care of what the others say about Brent on having an illegitimate child.

The Perfect Play By: Louise Wener January 31, 2012

Part 1:

1. Reflect- I felt very happy of Audrey's strength to be alone. Even if her father abandon her when she was eleven, I can still say that she really is a strong and has a brave personality on facing her life being alone. But it is very surprising when Audrey Unger faces the crisis of being an abandon child anywhere, the parents should be responsible to take care of her because she is the product of their own flesh.

2. Connect- When I was in elementary, my family has a big problem. My cousin is being left by their father. It is very hard for my aunt to be a single-parent in the four child but she still works hard for them, and give them the life which they deserve to have. But now, their father wanted to go back in in their life, he is begging for the forgiveness of his children and keep asking that if he turn back to them would they accept him as a father. Would they give him a chance to be their father.

3. Question- I wonder how the father can leave Audrey without someone to take care of? And how she can survive being alone with that long period of time? Would his thought on what may happen to Audrey when he is about to leave her. Can Audrey found a love that she is longing for about a years?

4. Predict- I think that Audrey will be happier if her father did not leave her. I think that she will found another love with a man who will accept her for what she is and who she is in her past without any regression.

Part 2:

13. Write a letter to the author.

Dear Madam Louise,

               Good day!

Almost a Family by Roxanne Rustand

Part 1:

1.Reflect. I really feel the fighting spirit of Erin when her husband, Sam, left her with three child. She was the one who was earning money for the three child. I am really impressed of  of how she shows her strength of being a father and a mother to the three child. She really makes the single-parent proud of themselves.  She is working and doing her best as a mother, she did not mind how difficult to be a single-parent.

2.  Connect. I have a relative which have the same story on the novel that i read. Her husband left her without thinking of what may happen to his children. He really don't care to the health of the child, their way of living and their studies. he don't want to support the studies of the poor children. especially when the elder child got sick and the mother, my aunt, ask something to the father because she cannot afford to buy her expensive medicine, but instead of helping them the father just walk away.

3. Question. I am curious of how Erin learn to teach herself to be alone in molding her three child and make them responsible of some things around them? I wonder how Erin support their financial and how she can show her role a a mother, but despite of being a single-parent to the three child, Erin is still considered as the best mother in whole world. I can't figure how Dr. Connor Reynolds fall in-love t a single-parent?

 4. Predict. I think that Erin and the three child will have a better future if she met Dr. Connor at an early time before she got married to Sam.

Part 2:

10. Describe your favorite part. Make a summary about what will happen next.

My favorite part in the story is is the last part, the chapter twenty two.
Dr Connor and Erin get married and live life to the fullest. They will bear a child as many as they can, and guide them as they grow old. Teach them how to be a responsible individual, including the three child of Erin in her first husband, Sam. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds has a happy life despite of the trials and challenges they had faced on. And their children got married to their love one and make their own family. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds will be a good and loving grandparent to their grandchildren and they live happily ever after.
