Almost a Family by Roxanne Rustand

Part 1:

1.Reflect. I really feel the fighting spirit of Erin when her husband, Sam, left her with three child. She was the one who was earning money for the three child. I am really impressed of  of how she shows her strength of being a father and a mother to the three child. She really makes the single-parent proud of themselves.  She is working and doing her best as a mother, she did not mind how difficult to be a single-parent.

2.  Connect. I have a relative which have the same story on the novel that i read. Her husband left her without thinking of what may happen to his children. He really don't care to the health of the child, their way of living and their studies. he don't want to support the studies of the poor children. especially when the elder child got sick and the mother, my aunt, ask something to the father because she cannot afford to buy her expensive medicine, but instead of helping them the father just walk away.

3. Question. I am curious of how Erin learn to teach herself to be alone in molding her three child and make them responsible of some things around them? I wonder how Erin support their financial and how she can show her role a a mother, but despite of being a single-parent to the three child, Erin is still considered as the best mother in whole world. I can't figure how Dr. Connor Reynolds fall in-love t a single-parent?

 4. Predict. I think that Erin and the three child will have a better future if she met Dr. Connor at an early time before she got married to Sam.

Part 2:

10. Describe your favorite part. Make a summary about what will happen next.

My favorite part in the story is is the last part, the chapter twenty two.
Dr Connor and Erin get married and live life to the fullest. They will bear a child as many as they can, and guide them as they grow old. Teach them how to be a responsible individual, including the three child of Erin in her first husband, Sam. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds has a happy life despite of the trials and challenges they had faced on. And their children got married to their love one and make their own family. Mr. and Mrs. Reynolds will be a good and loving grandparent to their grandchildren and they live happily ever after.
